At Leigh Academy Hundred of Hoo, we encourage our staff to continually seek ways to raise teaching standards and, ultimately improve pupils outcomes. To support this, we’ve invested in IRIS Connect — a system trusted by thousands of educators and institutions. The platform empowers teachers to take greater ownership of their professional development, build confidence, and collaborate effectively with peers. Our aim is for every teacher to perform at the highest standard. By sharing outstanding practice, teachers can reflect, adapt, and trial innovative teaching, learning, and assessment strategies to secure the best possible outcomes for all pupils.

Using the IRIS Connect online platform Teahcers can record, reflect on, and refine their practice with tools designed to support the most effective professional learning, as demonstrated by current research. Evidence shows that, as a result of recording their lessons, 94% of teachers reported improvements in their teaching, while 88% said their confidence had grown.
Although video is a powerful tool for accelerating professional growth, we know it’s vital to ensure that students featured in lesson recordings are protected at all times. That’s why IRIS Connect has developed a system rooted in data protection, privacy, and security.
All video footage is stored on secure, trusted servers and never enters the public domain. Use of IRIS Connect is strictly limited to professional development and fully aligns with our policies for safeguarding young people.
